At Meyer Bros. Farms, we are
constantly working to improve our program genetics. Why?
..... Because your genetics are the main reason for our survival.
Our cattle operation covers
the entire spectrum of beef production, from genetic selection to hanging
carcasses on the packers rail. Meyer Bros. Farms maintains a 1,000
head cow herd of commercial and registered Saler Females. We retain
ownership in our calves to slaughter; allowing for compilation of
feedlot and carcass data into a complete performance testing program.
Our Commitment:
We
even own a USDA inspected packing plant to market our beef locally! The
influence of such sires as National Champion MBF Gold Bar and his sons
and grandson . . . . Black Bar, Doc Bar and Diamond Jack provides the
genetic link to the chain of success and profitability of our program.
Next time your looking for a
Herd Sire or group of females to improve your herd or to build a program
on, come to Meyer Bros. Farms.
About Salers:
Young Herd Sire Prospects are
always a risk until that first calf crop hits the ground. Yet today with
all the data available, cattlemen can lessen their risk by studying the
pedigrees, performance, and EPDs, and closely appraising a calf visually.
After accumulating all the data and visually examining a young bull for
structural correctness, length of body and muscle confirmation, a
cattleperson can be certain of his capacity to become a Great Herd Sire.
Saler cattle have proven
themselves in the feed lot as efficient converters of feed to red meat.
The packers continue to demand more quality lean, high yielding carcasses
than ever before. As seed stock producers continue to search for the
genetic combination to work in registered and commercial operations,
Saler Cattle Can Offer That Solution. |
